Strange Artifacts Raise Questions About Homo sapiens Traveling to Northeast China
Artifacts that are 45,000 years old in northeastern China show signs of cultural mixing of unknown local groups with newcomer Homo sapiens. These artifacts include a possible bone implement, two stones with platforms, a partial graphite disk, and two rectangular stone tools. The excavation was held halfway up one of the hills overlooking the northern part of the Shiyu River in China.
