Are the Mysteries of the Fairy Circles Solved?

The mysterious fairy circles, which are burnt orange circles of perfectly round sand have long been a mystery. Each circle is perfectly spaced near each other and are surrounded by a ring of grass. Over the years, fairies, aliens, dragons, and other possibilities. Currently, there are only two sections of the world where this phenomenon is known to happen. The first is in Namibia, with the second recently discovered in Western Australia.

Scientists have long had this desire to explain the unexplainable. So in Namib, a team of scientists researched and published their findings in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. It was determined that the plants are self organized.

This allows them to make use of the infrequent rains so that they can survive in the desert climate.

That doesn’t mean that all scientists are claiming that the mystery is solved. While many in the community will agree with the findings, Eugene Moll has held another popular theory since 2012. His findings was there were sand termites in each of the rings, which could possibly be forming these circles.

While there is little doubt that there is a natural explanation for these fairy circles, it is clear that there is a natural reason for them occurring.
