Special Night Clouds Gravitating to South

Noctilucent clouds are special formations found in the mesosphere of the Earth. These special formations are typically found in the northern hemisphere, but environmental changes have caused them to “migrate” south.

These clouds are lit when seen at night, gleaming as they catch the rays of the Sun.  They are formed when extremely cold temperature cause water vapor to freeze around dust particles.

More studies are being conducted toward understanding the changing behaviors of noctilucent clouds while some experts believe an overall rise in Methane within the air may be responsible. Global warming continues to make many minute changes to the environment and the recent noctilucent phenomenon may yet be another.
