Blackholes eat. Recently, scientists have found a way to see how they behave when they eat. They took a sample of active black holes at the very center of 136 galaxies. Researchers found out that black holes with big appetites can eat a large star like our sun each year. Those with weak appetites eat the same amount of star material for at least 10 million years.
