Stars Have a Slow Journey at the Edge of the Milky Way
Physicists have recently discovered that the stars near the Milky Way travel slower those near its center. This suggests that our galaxy’s core may have less dark matter than the scientists thought previously. The core may have less mass as well. This information is based on the analysis by the APOGEE and Gaia instruments.
