For the first time, planners at MIT have incorporated the aspects of human intuition into the programing for artificial intelligence programs. This has resulted in a marked increase in the output and performance of programs using complicated amounts of data to solve complex problems such as scheduling the orbits of orbital satellites or handling multiple flights of aircraft landing scenarios at the same time.
The results of this project will enable programmers to further improve the future programs and AI systems in how they perform tasks using intuition similar to what humans use. This information can change the way AI programs function and allow for greater precision in problem solving activities.
